Sensible Land Use & PreservationBy Bonnie McClungCandidate for Councilmember; City of Half Moon Bay | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Sensible Land Use and Coastal PreservatioinI believe in environmental protection. I live here because of the sense of community and the environment - the open space and magnificent ocean. My presence on the City Council will bring an important quality of leadership. Leadership is the sharing of vision, goals, plans and accomplishment. The Local Coatal Plan is our city's vision. It think it is an excellent one. It addresses land use, open space, traffic circulation, and the environment. Within the existing plan are sound land use policies and solutions to our traffic problems. The current City Council has been working five years to revise our Local Coastal Plan. I believe that a review of the LCP and minor revisions that can be quickly made will create a construtive middle ground that respects the environment and meets the current and future needs of residents. This will allow us to move forward committed to a clear plan for Half Moon Bay. |
