SUE LEMPERT BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Lempert has been a San Mateo homeowner for over 40 years. She and her husband, Art, have three children who have all attended San Mateo public schools. Lempert has worked as a reporter for U.S. News& World Report, public relations writer for General Electric Company, a housing director for a non-profit housing agency and executive director of a non-profit senior agency which developed programs so that aging adults could remain independent and at home.

Lempert graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in journalism. She was managing editor of the Stanford Daily. She has a masters in public law and government from Columbia University and a masters in public administration from San Francisco State.

Her community experience includes:
