Dan Kalb, a chapter director for the Sierra Club, knows and has experience working on environmental and energy issues. He works on promoting energy efficiency and clean energy generation throughout the Bay Area. As an elected member of the Democratic County Central Committee, he took the lead in getting the Committee involved in community service efforts. He is a long-time activist on Democratic campaigns. He was a delegate at the last Democratic National Convention for Bill Bradley. Kalb has a bachelor's degree in Conservation of Natural Resources from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. Kalb is also a long-time community activist. He has volunteered for over 10 years as as a neighborhood mediator through Community Boards and is an active participant with the Isaiah Project--a coalition of African Americans and Jews working on social justice issues. Previously, Kalb has worked for public interests organization such as California Common Cause, Media Alliance, and CalPIRG. He is also a former staff administrator at City College of San Francisco, and an original member of the San Francisco Ethics Commission. |
