Ballot Statement of Geoff Patnoe, Candidate for Cupertino City CouncilBy Geoff PatnoeCandidate for Council Member; City of Cupertino | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Education and Qualifications: B.A. Political Science and Public Service University of California, Davis I was raised in Cupertino, attended local schools, participated in little league, soccer, scouts and other community-based programs. That's why I understand the importance of protecting and preserving what makes Cupertino such a unique place to call home. As a member of the Planning Commission, I have worked to protect the interests of neighborhoods and to reduce our jobs-to-housing imbalance. In addition, I am working to revise our general plan to eliminate incentives that favor developers at the expense of our neighborhoods. The next few years will be critical to Cupertino's future. As your Councilmember I will work to secure: a new library that meets the needs of the community without breaking our budget, a vibrant Vallco, a new bookstore, reduced traffic congestion, additional community gathering points, enhanced open space, and improved pedestrian and bike access. With your support, I will work to preserve Cupertino's uniqueness. Please vote Geoff Patnoe for City Council and Put Our Neighborhoods First. |
