This information is provided by the candidate
Supporting the men and women in our police and fire department is important to me.
A city must provide safety and a sense of security for its citizens. Our police and fire services need to continue to be excellent. I believe community policing should include preventing violence in our schools and ensuring good community programs for our youth. I currently serve on numerous community boards which work to minimize substance abuse and help our residents find paths to recovery. It will take continuing efforts to provide all Santa Barbarans a safe place they can call their own.
