About Nancy Knight

I am 57 years of age and my husband and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary this November. We moved to Murrieta with our two sons in 1976. I graduated from UCR in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree and entered the field of medical diagnostics, specializing in immunochemistry. During my career as an R&D scientist, I continued my education and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of LaVerne in 1996. I am now retired from my profession.

My family launched The Murrieta Bugle in 1998 and I have been serving the community since 1998 as the volunteer editor for the community's public relations articles.

Bill and I have two grandsons who are being raised in Murrieta. I have had the privilege of serving in the "Principal for a Day" program at Alta Murrieta and was impressed with the quality of our teachers and the technical equipment our children are exposed to at an early age. I was also impressed with the quality of the volunteer support that enhances our children's experience at school. I understand that high quality educational systems are indirectly provided by city council decisions and I have a vested interest in our schools.

My campaign budget is low and I am not soliciting financial contributions. I need support in this grass roots campaign to become the first woman elected to the Murrieta City Council. I need your word-of-mouth support and I need over 4000 votes on November 6. Many people in our community never exercise their right to vote. You can help by urging them to vote this time. The vote of your neighbors can make a difference in this election. You need to elect people who can and will take the time to use informed independent judgment in their decisions on your behalf. You deserve a highly effective and efficient government. I hope you place your trust in me and vote for Nancy Knight on November 6.
