This is the offical statement I submitted to the voters

I have served four turbulent years on the OUSD Board. During this time, in spite of political battles that have raged around me, I have tried to keep my eye on one objective...raising the educational standards of this district.

I am proud to report to you that test scores are rising, class size is being reduced and vocal and instrumental music have been re-introduced in elementary school. My work on behalf of educational excellence is showing results!

In the next four years, I will use my experience as a land use planner to ensure that any development in East Orange will bring with it high quality, safe educational environments for all our students. I also will work to attract and retain the best teachers available.

I earned my Bachelors Degree from California State University Long Beach. My husband Bruce and I have lived in Orange for sixteen years.
