Political Philosophy for Barbara Heller
Candidate for |

|
I believe one of the greatest honors is to represent my fellow San Rafael citizens on the City Council. Not only does it give me a chance to work with some fascinating and enthusiastic people, it also allows me to help make our city the best place to live and work. I want our children and grandchildren to be able to get a job nearby and buy a home in San Rafael, too. In order to accomplish this, I think ordinary citizens, like you and me, need to run for local office and/or get involved in volunteer community work. No one else will do it for us-- we have to do it. Our General Plan is in the process of being updated right now. It is the road map for San Rafael's next ten years. I urge you to get involved and have a say in shaping your community. Call City Hall and find out when the next public workshop is and then participate in it. I promise you it will be a rewarding experience. |
