COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
- Member, Whittier Sunrise Rotary Club; active in Reading by 9, a Southern California regional program to provide books for grades K-3 and to highlight the problems of schools with inadequate resources. Have also worked within Rotary in support program for the California Science Fair.
- Co-Chair, 1996 GG Campaign, a successful bond issue election for Whittier City School District. Recognized by the California Association of School Administrators.
- President, Whittier Area United Nations Association which has also donated books to local schools.
- Past Vice-President, Whittier Conservancy.
- Past Co-Chair, Whittier Community Co-ordinating Council.
- Past Member Hoover School Site Council.
- Peace Corps Volunteer, Rural Community Development Worker in Turkey, 1964-66.
