Currently employed by Sully Miller/Blue Diamond, a large general contractor and construction materials provider in Southern California, David W. Manuel's present assignment has him responsible for procurement for his companies' internal work in addition to that for customers including the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP), the Los Angeles Department of Airports (LAX), the Los Angeles Unified School District and the California Department of Transportation (Cal-Trans) and projects including the Alameda Corridor, the Port of Los Angeles Pier 400 expansion and even the Macys at Montebello Mall among many others. David Manuel works on a daily basis with government and private companies to expedite needed construction work to assure the local infrastructure is able to withstand the rigors of Southern California life. David W. Manuel formerly was employed by a local Southern California oil refinery to assure the safety and security of its employees, vendors and neighbors. David W. Manuel previously owned and operated a small business specializing in event planning and security. David W. Manuel is happily married to his wonderful wife of 5 years, the former Silvia Cristina Mendoza, and they are raising 2 fine young children, Jesse Alberto & Ruby Christina. David W. Manuel was married at Saint Alphonsus in East LA and attends Saint Benedict's in Montebello. David W. Manuel has long been active in the community and has belonged to and or volunteered his time and services to the Red Cross, Kiwanis International, Friends of the River, LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens), the Special Olympics, Little League, Bobby Sox and the Downtown Midnight Mission among others. |
