Communication Improvement Between Community and P.C.C.By James Earl JohnsonCandidate for Governing Board Member; Pasadena Area Community College District; Trustee Area 1 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Publicize EventsOne of the most important roles the Board and Administrators have is to keep the neighboring community informed of P.C.C. activities on a continual basis. This includes new educational courses, athletic programs and cultural events such as guest speakers, concerts and theatrical plays they may want to attend. Residents want to know about the variety of events our college has so they may take full advantage of events offered. As Trustee, I will develop a policy of sending residents a quarterly newsletter that will inform and explain extracurricular events. Press releases will be sent to all local and regional television, radio and newspaper media, while our Public Relations Specialists will monitor the effectiveness of our news. Our message is: "P.C.C. has something for everybody!" |
