Applicant for Palmdale City Council

By G. "Garry" Cope

Candidate for City Council Member; City of Palmdale

This information is provided by the candidate
I desired to be hired by voters for the job as a city council members so as to effect positive changes priorities and directions for the growth and development of Palmdale.
I am an applicant for the Palmdale City Council. If I am hired by a majority of voters, I will work for all of Palmdale. I will work to ensure Palmdalees not become another San Fernando Valley. I want to work to retain the open spaces and semi- rural nature of Palmdale. I will work to ensure environmental/safety concerns are not ignored Palmdale continues its development advocating slower growthand coordination between city government and all local government and entities.

I will work for the actual building of a hospital. One that all citizens could use rather tha one where HMO members are mainlly serviced.

Instead of monies for ivy to be planted along city streets, I work for more library books and make more sidewalks.

Instead of massive parks, I would work for smaller parks scattered throughout Palmdale: each having a mini-skating area, field for sports, and a playground.

I will work to listen well so the citizens and the large and small businesses of Palmdale are benifited by the actions of a city council I would be proud to serve on.

I will work to do my best to provide the engeries and talents needed to make the coordination and leadership responsibilities of the council work well so that Palmdale has enough water and power, enough enticements for business to prosper anywhere in Palmdale, and enough law enforcement and fire people to ensure the safety of Palmdale
