Shall an ordinance be acopted which establishes a limited annual parcel tax for the Monterey Park Fire Department? The proceeds of the tax are for the Fire Department only, to pay for fire station reconstruction and increased paramedic staff. This special Paramedic/Fire protection tax specifically supplements and does not replace the City's Fire Department general fund budget. The tax has a twenty-five year term and provides for certain exemptions.
