· Treat residents with respect when they come before the city council · I will not support development that forces children to attend a school other than the one closest to their home or forces siblings to attend different schools · Support regional cooperation to deal with traffic, water, sewer, and jobs/housing balance in theTri-Valley area · Support more senior housing in San Ramon · Encourage revitalization of San Ramon's older housing stock to become a viable alternative for first time homebuyers · Support the City Center Task Force findings regarding new City Center site · Support the construction of a Children's Museum at the City Center site · Explore all funding options for the City Center and use phased development approach · Appoint a cross section of the community to all committees and commissions · Support continued funding of grants to Discovery Center and other at risk youth programs with the prerequisite that they provide full accountability and benefit to the City of San Ramon · Expand the use of technology to keep residents and businesses informed about their city · Upgrade functionality of city e-mail server and automatically distribute all committee and commission agendas · Support eight-year term limits for Councilmembers and Mayor · Committed to keeping San Ramon free of graffiti · Fully support the provisions of the new General Plan 2020, especially the tight Urban Growth boundary that will help prevent urban sprawl · If the new General Plan is approved, I will vote to withdrawn the lawsuit against the county over the Urban Limit Line move as the General Plan has a provision that makes this lawsuit no longer valid for San Ramon · Allow the voters to decide if San Ramon is to have an elected mayor · Support changing to even year elections to get more voter participation and to save money · Councilmembers must remain objective to make land use decisions, therefore I will not take campaign contributions from developers, BORPAC (Board of Realtors Political Action Committee), or any other Realty interest · Encourage the building of more energy efficient homes in San Ramon · New developments must contribute their fair share of parks and schools to the community · Expand notification area from 300 feet to 1500 feet for planning and zoning · Place planning and zoning notifications on city web site · Change height ordinance to be consistent with the General Plan · Change the process for zoning changes between categories to match the process for a General Plan Amendment (Three meetings of Planning Commission, City Council, and 4/5 majority of each) · Step up maintenance of city streets and side walks |
