Affordable Housing (Workforce Housing)By Jerry P CambraCandidate for Member, City Council; City of San Ramon | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Who needs Affordable Housing? Our parents on fixed incomes, our children just starting off, and all service workersAffordable housing is NOT low income housing and will not create slums. We have some excellent examples of affordable housing in San Ramon. The best example is in Greystone off of San Ramon Valley Blvd. These four-unit buildings look like large homes. Affordable housing is essential for seniors on fixed incomes, our children that don't make big salaries, and service workers (Police,Fire, Teachers, etc.). We must try to find a way to make this work. |
