- Shall Galt Joint Union Elementary School District relieve overcrowding,
improve education and increase student safety throughout the district
by constructing an elementary and middle school on district owned land,
by issuing $9.24 million of bonds at interest rates within the legal limit,
with citizen oversight, annual audits of expenditures and performance and no
proceeds used for teacher or administrator salaries or other school operating
expenses?
Approval of Measure W does not guarantee that the proposed project or projects
in the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District that are the subject of bonds
under Measure W will be funded beyond the local revenues generated by Measure W.
The school district's proposal for the project or projects may assume the
receipt of matching state funds, which could be subject to appropriation
by the Legislature or approval of a statewide bond measure.
