Better and Safer Schools and Neighborhoods

By Bud LoMonaco

Candidate for Council member; City of San Jose; District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
Our children and seniors desrve safe schools and safe neighborhoods
Education
The future of San Jose depends on the quality of education we provide our children. District Five's students deserve the same level of funding as other students in the county. As a former teacher in the East Side Union High School District, and a teacher of Parenting classes with the Parent Institute, Bud understands the importance of maintaining and developing partnerships between the City and local school districts to ensure the City does all it can to help schools provide our children with the education necessary for the next century.
Bud has always and will continue to work to encourage our young people to stay in school and complete their education as well as encourage greater parent participation in their children's education. Public Safety
Making and keeping our streets, homes and schools safe is one of the primary responsibilities of government. Our children and seniors deserve safe schools and safe neighborhoods. Bud believes that we deserve the same response times in District 5 that residents in other districts of the city receive.
This is a top priority for Bud and his record of community involvement in public safety proves it. This is why the National Latino Peace Officers and the San Jose Police Officers' Associations, the Deputy Sheriffs' Association of Santa Clara County, and all major law enforcement associations have endorsed Bud LoMonaco for City Council.
