Occupation: Council District Aide Age: 35 Education and Qualifications: The neighborhoods and families who live in our District need strong, and decisive leadership. I've worked for six years at San Jose City Hall and longer in our community to improve police presence, invigorate local business districts, increase the quality of local schools, expand library services, clean our streets and parks and add more senior and youth services. I grew up here, went to local schools and care deeply about our future. I want to continue revitalizing our community as your City Councilmember because much more must be done. I will ensure that we receive our fair share of transportation by making the light rail extension a reality. I will ensure that neighborhood homework centers are available to all children so they can excel at school. I support Health Insurance for needy children - no child should be denied medical treatment. I supported our Park and Library bonds - I will ensure our district's needs are addressed with these funds. Mayor Ron Gonzales, Supervisor Blanca Alvarado, Assemblyman Manny Diaz and hundreds of residents all support me. Please join them. I ask for your vote on March 6th so we can continue to build a better future for all. |
