Traditional ValuesBy Heather W GreenCandidate for Council Member; City of San Dimas | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Shouldn't we know our neighbors?San Dimas is becoming bigger every day, but maintains it's small town feel. I attribute this to the personalities of it's inhabitants. I want to support the people of San Dimas, because a city is really more than buildings, businesses, and parks. A city is families, seniors living alone, single parents, children, young adults. City leaders should know their people. They should take care of their people by being accessible and eager to hear about their concerns. I look forward to a time when city council meetings are full of residents of San Dimas, not because they have a problem, but because they are excited about their city and want to know what's going on. I would like to promote traditional values, where we know who lives next to us and accept some responsibility in looking out for that person or family. I uphold the right that we are all created equal in God's eyes, and that every culture and race should be embraced in our community. I contend that we are all here to serve one another, to take care of one another, to help one another. I offer myself in this capacity. |
