Joe Wolterman was born on July 4th, 1949. He married Regina M. Grathwohl who now serves as a teacher at White Oak Middle School. They have two children: a son, Christian who is studying sculpture at Ohio State University and a daughter, Claire, a model with the Wilhelmina Agency in New York City.

With fifteen brothers and sisters, Joe learned to be a team player early in life. He had many opportunities to foster his consensus-building and negotiation skills. He attended LaSalle High School. He then went on to further his education at Xavier and the University of Cincinnati completing studies in mortuary science.

Business

Joe has many experiences in the business world. Presently, Joe is with Dabbelt Insurance Agency selling and consulting in Property/Casualty Insurance, Commercial and Personal Lines. He also has experience in managing and operating his own business as a manufacturer's representative in the restaurant-supply industry. In addition, Joe was a merchandising director for a major supermarket-supply distributor. Joe also managed and served as a funeral director at the Dhonau-Rosenacker Funeral Home.

Community

Joe is active in his community as a member of the: Western Economic Council, board member Northwest Exchange Club Colerain Township Business Association Hamilton County Township Association Izaak Walton Conservation League Northside Knights of Columbus.

Trustee

Joe is certainly not a newcomer to the political arena. As a Democrat, he subscribes to being fiscally conservative, yet believes that government does have responsibility in providing a forum to debate and implement programs and policies to achieve social justice. For example, Joe states " I believe in the right for working people to organize and seek a livable wage."

I try to apply those values in my public and private life. Those being: every one of us is a creature of God and is to be respected and served accordingly, no matter of their talents, wealth, or position in life. I do look forward to serving in other positions in public office and hope that I can contribute, through the grace of God, to the betterment of our community and country."
