Murray Rosenbluth was elected to the Port Hueneme City Council in 1996 and is currently serving as Mayor of Port Hueneme. He is Chair of the Ventura County Library Commission, a Director of the Port Hueneme Water Agency, a Director of the Ventura County Commission on Human Concerns, and an Alternate Director of the Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency. Murray and Adele were the Port Hueneme Chamber of Commerce's Citizens of the Year in 1998. Murray has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and prior to his retirement he was an engineering project manager for the Procter & Gamble Co. worldwide. He is a registered Professional Engineer. Murray served as an officer in the United States Army in Europe during the cold war. Murray and Adele Rosenbluth have been married more than 47 years and have three children and two grandchildren. Murray was born in Philadelphia PA and is 69 years old. Murray and his family first came to Ventura County in the 1970's. He was the Project Manager for engineering the Procter & Gamble paper products plant on Rice Ave. Returning in the 1980's, he managed a multi-million dollar cogeneration (power generating) expansion. As a result of Murray's leadership, these projects are highly effective, financially sound, and environmentally responsible Murray's extensive background in engineering, business, finance, and municipal government has taught him to successfully analyze complex problems and identify common sense solutions to turn the problems into opportunities.
