Candidate for
Member of the State Assembly; District 78

I am running for state assembly to attempt to slow down and eventually stop the erosion of personal civil liberties in California. I support the entire Bill of Rights, not just some of it. My "Top 10" priorities, if elected will be to:

1) introduce an Assembly Bill which would, once and for all, establish guidelines for the full and immediate statewide implementation of the Compassionate Use Act of 1996 (medical marijuana; formerly Prop 215),

2) gradually end the prosecution of "victimless crimes" (e.g., prostitution, gambling, personal drug use), and reform existing civil asset forfeiture laws,

3) oppose any further restrictions on our Second Amendment right to bear arms, and try to repeal current restrictions on gun ownership,

4) demand an immediate end to racial profiling used by police officers statewide,

5) support total separation of church and state,

6) repeal mandatory motorcycle helmet laws,

7) encourage private tutoring and other alternatives to public education,

8) legalize private ownership of some exotic pets like domesticated ferrets,

9) make Gestapo-esque sobriety checkpoints illegal in California,

and

10) hold the government responsible for their continued pollution of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean which are vital to the 78th assembly district.
