I was born in 1955 in Annapolis, Maryland. My father served in the NAVY for 22 years. His father was a Pennsylvania farmer, sharecropper and eventually caretaker of a Maryland graveyard. My mother served our family for her lifetime. Her father invented and worked for the local telephone company. We have a background which includes German royalty, Irish farmers, Scottish roots with the McDonnells of the McDonnell/Campbell feud, and Englishmen who plowed the king's land. My three siblings all served in the NAVY (two brothers/1 sister). My father's father had 11 brothers and sisters. My mother had six brothers and one sister.

My mother always taught me that I could do whatever I believed I could do. My father gave me love for our country and freedom.

My son has continued the generations of our family who serve this country in joining the USMC. He serves at Camp Pendleton.

In personality type, I am the same as Bill Gates on the Kiersey tests... and ENTJ. They say this is a born leader.

In high school, we did not have a theatre club so I founded one, directed three plays, starred in one in order to raise funds for the group to exist. It was the largest, most attended club at the high school and still exists today.

When a friend had a serious problem in Mensa, I started a competing organization... Camelopard, which took 1/3 of the membership of San Diego and thrived on its own.

In 1982 while pregnant with my daughter, I founded a business, a tax business which thrives today.

I have represented my profession before the state legislature and in Washington, DC and have served as President of a 1500 member tax profession organization.

I first ran for office in 1984 and have always run as a Libertarian. My deceased husband ran for Congress twice and Governor once as a Libertarian (Dennis Thompson).

I believe in efficiency and economy and have strong opionions that there are too many old, tired laws on our books and too many old, tired ideas which need replaced. The tax burden placed on us does not work. Taxes need to be replaced with some better ideas.

If you have questions, I'm happy to answer anytime.
