Thank you for checking out my home web page. On this site you will find information about me, my background, views, goals and hopes for a better tomorrow.

I feel a great sense of gratitude for the opportunities presented to me as an American citizen and I strongly desire to repay my country in my small way for these privileges. I want your family and my family to look forward to a better future in this district, in California and in America.

I believe in Republican principles. Specifically, I believe through four key concepts: a more efficient government, tax reduction and reform, effective education and new job creation, are the cornerstones of successful citizens and families. These four cornerstones will help to ensure a better future. I also believe in the concept of "One America" which is designed to improve race relations and group unity for Southern California and America. I also want to emphasize that the Republican Party is is party for all people.

I firmly believe that to keep our state and country strong we need courageous individuals in the California Assembly to spread the message of these four key concepts.

ON THE ISSUES

The "Four Cornerstones" To A Strong District/America

The four cornerstones to a better future are: Low taxes, a smaller government, job creation and an effective education.

It is my belief that these concepts are indeed the recipe to a more secure future. Note the concepts also are closely connected to each other. For example the less government and regulation, the more freedom a small business owner can have to run his/her business. See below for more specific information on these key concepts.

The following is a list of problems existing in today's society, many of which we will face, together with my thoughts and suggested solutions. These are only some of the many fronts which we find ourselves engaging in the battle for our freedoms.

FAMILIES/The Foundation of America

Strong families are indeed the foundation of America and this is my campaign theme. The derogation of the American family has created a vast array of problems for our state and country. Included are parental indifference to children's school progress, increasing violence in schools, teen delinquencies and criminal activity, teen pregnancies, and drug use. These all lead to increased dropout rates, which in turn eventually leads to misuse and over-dependency on the welfare system. Failed marriages have a serious impact on children and also lead to increased welfare burdens. Other societal problems linked to family breakdowns are indiscriminate shootings, crime in general, and homelessness.

A campaign slogan during the 1992 elections read, "It's the economy, stupid." The economy is of course very important and a top priority of many Americans. Extra money provides flexibility in our lives. But I fervently believe that while the economy and fiscal integrity is vital, the core problem in America is the foundational family unit. Are parents strong in the teaching of principles of honesty, integrity and work ethics? A child's future success is largely the result of what parents teach them in their formative years. Even though this is simplistic and should be rather obvious, it is imperative that we as leaders emphasize to constituents that parenting is hard work and takes concerted effort.

America is made of millions of family units. Each one plays a role in whether or not America is successful as a world leader. I submit that the time spent to build and solidify America's families is an invaluable investment in our future. Every successful family contributes to a successful community, to our state and to our country.

An additional spin-off problem from a family break down is the employment rate. When parents teach the value of staying in school and studying and working hard to achieve a proper education, the children will become more highly qualified job seekers and more productive adults. They will be far less likely to contribute to the unemployment rate.

While government should never mandate what parents should or not teach their children, we can certainly work to raise the awareness of how vitally important it is for parents to teach their children correct principles and the value of productive effort. I define "correct principles" as basically " individual responsibility, respect for self and others, and honesty".

You can see, at this point, the stronger the family or parental unit is, the more likely it is the child will be effectively educated as he/she understands through the strong family unit, how important it is to study hard and receive a proper education. This, in turn, will create jobs and will result in a higher employment. Additionally, strong families/citizens result from less regulation and taxes as the wage-earner may spend more time at home building a strong family.

Thus, if elected, I will fight to key these four cornerstones at the forefront, which will result in strong individual citizens and families. It is up to the leaders of America to to take the lead in this effort.

Thank you so much for spending a few moments of your valuable time to understand how much I care about improving our communities.
