Dan Rosenberg is a successful businessperson who feels a deep responsibility to contribute to his local community and help those in need of assistance. His wide range of experience, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and ability to bring people of disparate views together, make him an excellent choice for US Congress.

Work Experience:

- Worked for three years on Wall Street as a Management Consultant to the Banking and Brokerage industry in New York City.

- Started and ran a T-shirt printing company in New York for five years. Hiring inner-city employees gave Dan an understanding of the challenges facing low-income, minority and immigrant people.

- Helped run a non-profit T-shirt printing company in San Francisco that hires people in recovery from drug addiction.

- He also does Website design and is knowledgeable in the Internet and the high-tech field.

Travels: Dan has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and East Africa, raising his awareness of the positive and negative effects of US policies on the people of the non-industrialized world. He had the opportunity to see first hand the poverty and squalor, as well as the beauty and under-appreciated richness in places like India, Kenya and Indonesia.

Traveling abroad gave Dan the ability to see the US with more objectivity than before. This strengthened his desire to bring about change here at home.

Education: Dan graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics. He specialized in Finance and Entrepreneurial Business, giving him an understanding of Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, big corporations and mom and pop businesses.

Volunteer Work: Dan generously volunteers his time for worthwhile causes and projects. He sits on the board of a community theater group that supports the arts in the public schools, and of the North Fork Community Development Council. He volunteers for a local food co-op and started a local barter currency system. He also has tutored immigrant kids in English.

Other Interests: Dan reads a great deal. His favorite authors include Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Paul Auster, Milan Kundera, Vikram Seth, John Steinbeck and William Gibson. He plays trombone and percussion in a Brazilian music ensemble. He loves hiking, snowboarding, camping, cycling, going to the movies, and traveling almost anywhere.

Dan speaks French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
