Gun Safety

By Todd Keegan

Candidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 77

This information is provided by the candidate
Todd Keegan believes in the right to own guns, but seeks to control the rampant growth of illegal weapons.
Todd Keegan supports sensible gun safety regulations. These regulations include trigger locks, the prohibition of junk guns, thorough background checks before purchase, a ban on automatic weapons or guns which have no purpose other than criminal activity, and very careful and prudent screening of concealed weapons permits. Our streets, and neighborhoods are not safer with more people making split second decisions on whether to draw that concealed weapon or not. Our police cannot be out armed by criminal elements who can get superior weapons, often on the open market.
