GETTING GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS, SENATOR FEINSTEIN CONTINUES TO DO MORE TO REDUCE GUN-RELATED VIOLENCE IN AMERICA

Despite intense lobbying by the N.R.A., Senator Feinstein was the author and the driving force behind passage of the Assault Weapons Ban. She fought for the Crime Bill that added tens of thousands of cops to California's streets and helped fuel the national crime drop.

She co-authored the Gun-Free Schools Act which provides zero-tolerance for guns in schools all across this great land. And Senator Feinstein was a critical vote for the Brady Bill that has stopped more than 250,000 illegal gun purchases across America.

Now Senator Feinstein is working to keep criminals from getting around the law--closing the loophole that allows the importation of high capacity ammunition clips and closing the gun-show loophole that allows buyers to get around mandatory background checks. And the Juvenile Justice Bill would prohibit minors from possessing assault weapons and would require that trigger locks be sold with each and every gun.
