Harold Berkemeier has served Cotati so faithfully and for so many years that its hard to remember an important issue in town that Harold did not help to resolve.

For 24 years in Cotati, as a husband, father and grandfather, Harold has employed three generations of Berkemeiers in the family landscaping business.

In nearly two decades of service to Cotati - as a member of our Design Review Board, a Planning Commissioner, City Council Member, and twice-chosen Mayor - Harold has worked tirelessly to preserve the qualities that make Cotati a special place to live.

Perhaps that's why in 1996 Harold Berkemeier was chosen Cotati's "Citizen of the Year".

As a public servant, Harold has championed old Oak restoration and curbside recycling. He also volunteers countless hours maintaining and upgrading Cotati's parks, Little League and soccer fields. And Harold saves Cotati thousands of dollars every year doing free tree inspections for the city. Additionally, Harold serves on the City Waste Management Committee, and the Santa Rosa Subregional Wastewater Advisory Committee. He is the City Liaison on the Cotati Chamber of Commerce and the Cotati Economic Development Task Force. He has also served on Cotati's Anniversary and Annual Kid's Parade.

Local Cotati business people have come to rely on Harold's innovative and energetic leadership in promoting and protecting Cotati's small resident serving and home-based businesses.

Harold Berkemeier has devoted nearly a quarter century to our community. Now, we ask for your support as Harold seeks to serve on our City Council for a final term.
