I am a 37 year old, proud graduate of the public school system. I earned a BA from U.C. Berkely in Political Science and a Master's in Social Work from San Jose State Univeristy. I obtained my pupil personnel services credential in 1992, which allows me to provide counseling to students in California's K-12 schools. For the last 14 year I have worked with multi-cultural youth and their families in a broad range of school dropout, gang, and drug/alcohol prevention programs. Currently, I am a social worker in a community based, non-profit agency in Daly City. I coordinate a San Mateo County funded, youth drug prevention program that provides services at three schools within the Jefferson Union High School District. I also sit on the Daly City Youth health Center Advisory Board and have participated in the District's Wilderness Program ropes course. I reside in Pacifica with my wife, Christine, and our golden retriever, Prince. |
