Seven years ago, my husband and I bought our home in Pacifica to raise our two boys. From day one, I have always been active in my community. My past community activities reflects my willingness to work hard to better Pacifica. As a former Parks, Beaches, and Recreation Commissioner, I advocated to improve the quality of service and programs to our residents. I also served as a liason to the Seniors in Action Advisory Council, which helped me become more sensitive to their issues and needs. I supported the Sanchez Arts Center, the Pacifica Spindrift players, and other similar community orgainzations. As a Planning Commissioner, I gained valuable knowledge of how important it is to properly plan projects to insure its success. My background in accounting will assist me to scrutinize the critical state of our city's finances. I am seeking a seat on the City Council because I want to make a difference in the decision making process to insure that Pacifica is a viable and prosperous community in the future. I am thinking about Pacific's future, so that we can enjoy a good quality of life living in this coastal community. I want to take action today in such areas as our beaches, parks, re-establish city/chamber walks throughout the City of Pacifica, re-evaluate our planning process and approach problems with innovative solutions. I am ready to tackle the problems of our city. I intend to make myself available and listen to all our residents. My plan is to work with concerned citizens, so that together we can move the City of Pacifica towards a more prosperous future. |
