- Dumbarton Bridge Southern Access Completion/ Universty Avenue Improvements
-
Dumbarton Bridge final Environmental Impact Report was
approved with a southern access connecting to Embarcadero
Road in Palo Alto. The result of the State of California
reneging, and not building the southern access has had
negative impact on East Palo Alto economic development, and
the health and safety of our residential neighborhoods.
University Avenue has excess traffic on residential street,
and needs a sound wall, and traffic enforcement.
- Regional Planning Joint Powers Agreements Consensus Building
-
East Palo Alto residents pay taxes to the County of San
Mateo. Through consensus building we can negotiate
ownership and request a rebate on the 1.7 million rent payed
to the County. JPA's focusing on regional planning issues:
flooding, traffic, storm drain, and sewage maintainence.
JPA with School and Sanitary District focus on:
maintainence, facilities, program development.
- Balancing Community Development with Economic Development Responsible Communications
-
East Palo Alto has not balanced economic development with
consideration for community development needs. We can
improve integrity of management and elected officials as
well as give citizens a voice by providing information.
I propose a newsletter, web site and video taping of council
meetings.
