STUDENT SUCCESS My first priority has always been the academic success of our students. It is vital that we support the students and teachers to continue making solid improvements. BOUNDARY CHANGES With three new schools coming on line soon, we must start preparing now for these boundary changes. These changes will not only effect the three new sites, it will probably effect most of the schools in the district. This is not an easy task as me must stay focused on balance and equality in all schools. I'd like this process to get started as soon as possible. FUTURE SITES Although we haven't the money to build these sites, I believe the district must take a proactive position and monitor all new developments as they are processed through the system. We found out just how hard it can be to locate sites after the fact, I believe we must take a firmer stand and get in on the ground floor of these developments. That's where the district can become creative and make the better deals for it's land. COMMITMENT I believe when you make a commitment to voters, you must be willing to fulfill it. I haven't missed a board meeting in three years and I've only missed 4 meetings in the eight years I've served. This is a very time consuming job. I spend from twenty to twenty-five hours a week for this school district. I take my commitment seriously and would appreciate your vote. |
