Bonnie believes that vision and long-term planning for the future are essential for good government. On-going revision and update of the City's General Plan and Coastal Land Use Plan provide an opportunity for public participation. Morro Bay residents must decide what they are as a community and what they aspire to be. The City has been blessed with a world-class setting of incomparable natural beauty; more must be done to protect, enhance, and promote this asset.

One of the most important issues to face Morro Bay in the near term will be the future of the Morro Bay Power Plant. Bonnie will make sure that the right questions are asked, that all relevant issues are addressed, and that the needs of the residents of Morro Bay are considered. She will ask that all alternatives be studied and will fight to have the human impacts measured and mitigated. Bonnie will work to reduce the environmental impacts of the plant on the estuary and bay.

Bonnie will demand financial accountability in City government and will take a close look at all contract services. She will ensure a balanced budget that serves ALL the people.

Bonnie feels that every citizen appearing before the City Council should be treated with courtesy and respect.
