Political Philosophy for Michael Angelo Sannella

I am running for City Council because I care about San Marcos. I share your desire to make our community the best anywhere. San Marcos is home for me. My wife, Amy, and I are both graduates of California State University San Marcos and Amy is an elementary school teacher in the San Marcos school district. San Marcos is our home; our community. Our great city has been experiencing tremendous changes over the past few years. San Marcos is one of San Diego's fastest growing communities and with such growth must come responsibility, leadership, and courage. San Marcos needs a City Council that is driven by leadership and courage and a Council that will allow our community to continue to grow but grow responsibly. I will bring leadership and political courage to the San Marcos City Council. I have a vision for San Marcos, a complete plan that encompasses traffic concerns, business needs, safety, and education. San Marcos ought not to surrender our business sector to neighboring cities. San Marcos ought not to surrender jobs and necessary sales tax revenue to neighboring communities. Responsible growth means having a vision, a plan for a complete package and leadership and courage to make it happen. I am that leader. Perhaps San Marcos' most pressing need is traffic relief. It will take leadership, responsibility, and courage to bring about traffic relief. San Marcos needs immediate action on traffic concerns. I will address our traffic concerns and through leadership, bring about changes to better the quality of life for ALL in San Marcos.
