My Medical Degree was granted to me in 1976 from Rush University of Health Sciences in Chicago. I did a Residency in Internal Medicine form 1976-1979 at Rush-Presbyterean St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. For the past twenty years I have provided direct patient care services in Ramona, Poway and Rancho Bernardo. In 1992 I was chosen by my peers to be Chief of Staff at Pomerado Hospital. I served in that postition for two years. Currently I continue to serve on the Executive Committee of Pomerado Hospital. In the past I was Chairperson of Quality Management at Pomerado Hospital and currently, I am Chairperson the the Health Resource Committee at Pomerado Hospital. From 1992-1994, I was also a member of the Ramona-Julian Health Advisory Council. For the past twenty-seven years I have been married to my wife Luan. I have two children, Sheyna age 20 and Michael age 18. Sheyna is currently a junior in College in Washinton D.C and Michael is a senior at Ramona High School. From the months of November to March of this school year you will also see me as a fan of the Ramona Bulldog Basketball team watching Michael play in his final year. My community involvement has included being a School Board member on the Ramona Unified School Board from 1981-1994. Currently, my wife, Luan, is serving on the School Board. The experience on the School Board will serve me well if I am elected to the Hospital Board. Many of the principles of Boardmanship will be applicable to serving on the Hospital Board. |
