Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Stanley L. "Stan" McDonald

Candidate for
Board Member; Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District; Seat 3

My political philosophy encompasses all of my life experiences. I firmly believe that each of us is accountable for our own actions. But we should all strive to help others too.

Men and women everywhere have come to understand that education is an essential part of our existence. That education takes a different form depending upon where in the world we live. But those of us that live in the United States and, more particularly, in Southern California, have been blessed with a community college system to assist many of us in our pursuit of knowledge and the utilization of our talents.

I believe that each of us is given at least one talent. And many of are given a lot of talents. It is up to each one of us to develop and utilize the talents that we are given. No one else can do that for us.

Leaders in education are subject to the political constraints of the communities in which they function. Hopefully, we learn to utilize people and things to lift all of us upward. Some people just won't be lifted. But for all those willing to try, we should assist them to be the best that they can be.
