Oceanside is in need of a well-planned economic future. There is a definite need for a major development in the downtown area such as the currently proposed Manchester project. The downtown area needs to be developed to create the strongest possible tourist destination while remaining user friendly to Oceanside's citizens and preserving the unique and special status of our beach and ocean front. The time is now for economic attention to turn to the Eastern and Southern sections of our city. These areas can no longer be ignored. Oceanside can and should be a First class, Five Star city! |
