Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top 3 priorities for the District? Please include specifics and how you plan to involve the school community.

I am a good listener. I approach issues with questions:
-"How is this going to effect our children and their education?"
-"How is the staff going to be effected?"
-"What process was used to reach this decicion/outcome?"
-"How much will it cost?" Where are we going to get the funding?"
-"What are our priorities?" Our Strategic Plan should reflect these priorities.
-"Are we making decisions based on our priorities?" Children First!

Involving parents, staff, community (including businesses), and administrators, will assist the board to understand their needs and concerns. Having an "Open Door" policy that would provide easier access to board members. Perhaps have "office hours" at the school sites. Definitely the Whisman School District Board could have three to four new members in December 2000. We will all need your assistance in providing us with input as we need to make decisions for the Whisman School District. Vote: "Kruss for Kids!"

Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League, but formatted for Web display. Limit your answers to an average of 100 words per question, with the total not to exceed 300 words for 3 questions. Please count your words. We use the same word counting rules as the Registrar of Voters, e.g. Los Altos is one word.
