Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Sandy Sheedy

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Sacramento; District 2

This information is provided by the candidate

As your neighborhood City Councilwoman, I will work to achieve three goals.

1. Taxpayers are working people. They raise children. Buy homes. And volunteer to make our community better.

Our neighborhoods aren't getting their fair share of city services. I will change that and I won't ask you to pay more to do it.

2. Time magazine reported on the success of "Project Exile" in Richmond, Virginia -- if you commit a crime while in possession of a gun, even if you don't use it, you get 5 years added to your sentence. No parole. No exceptions.

I will work to make Sacramento one of the next "Project Exile" cities.

3. Homework centers. Recreation programs. Anti-gang and drug programs. We can and should have them all. Our children deserve the best.

I will expand after-school programs into every school. In every school district.

I am proud to have the support of our community's leaders:

  • Mayor Jimmie Yee
  • Sheriff Lou Blanas
  • Senator Deborah Ortiz
  • Assemblyman Darrell Steinberg
  • Assemblyman Dave Cox
  • Supervisor Roger Dickinson
  • Councilwoman Bonnie Pannell.

I'd be honored if you would consider joining with Sacramento's Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Deputy Sheriffs in supporting my candidacy.

Thank You
