WESTSIDE SPECIFIC PLAN

By Thomas L. "Tom" Sutro

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Costa Mesa

This information is provided by the candidate
The only difference between Westside Costa Mesa and other parts of the city should be location.
We must encourage private sector developers to look at the Westside and determine if it is economically feasible for them to redevelop the area. If the private sector is not willing to take the risk, it may be necessary to turn to the City's Redevelopment Agency. The Freedom, Sunshine and Republic tracts are attracting buyers that are willing to spend considreable time and money to expand these homes with additional living space, bathrooms and garages because they see the value and potential the area has to offer. We must now carry this pride of wonership to the other residential and business areas of the Westside.
