BIOGRAPHY OF MAURO MORALES Hard work, honesty, personal responsibility, community service, the importance of strong families--these are the values that Albert and Fimia Morales taught their son Mauro. These values guide his daily life and will ensure that Mauro Morales is an effective City Councilman for Ward 1, and for the entire city. As Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez' District Director, and as a former legislative staff member for Congressman Esteban Torres, Mauro has the hands-on public policy experience and results-oriented leadership skills necessary to tackle the complex problems facing Santa Ana. At a time when Santa Ana must cope with high growth, a rapidly changing population that is now among the youngest in the state, and the increasing demands on scarce city resources, Mauro's 5-part plan includes:
Safe Streets and Safe Schools A History of Accomplishment After graduating from Cerritos High School and Cypress College, Mauro graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., then returned home to earn a law degree from U.S.C. and to give back to his community. As the District Director for Congresswoman Sanchez, Mauro spends his days and nights working with a wide variety of community leaders helping to identify and solve problems, bring necessary resources into the community, and building coalitions. In addition, Mauro also volunteers his time to a variety of community activities, including:
