  • The finest candidates will have a broad base of experience and display a credible commitment to principles of honesty, integrity, and accountability. We must insist on electing candidates who are responsive to the voters they represent. Local elected officials can affect our quality of life in many ways as we have learned in the past.

  • I would like to represent the people of Huntington Beach, I can be your ears and eyes in the council, like most of my counterparts we all have an Idea of what makes a good council. I believe a strong council needs to work as a team, with shared values, commitment and to know we work for the citizens of our city.

  • We need to rebuild our infrastructure and once completed do a better job of maintaining it. I am a Maintenance technician and know the value of maintenance. Preventive rather than re-active saves money and time.

  • A subject that needs to be addressed is street sweeping, and (parking tickets). I for one see the need for sweeping not only does it preserve the city streets for longer life but it removes waste and trash left behind by aging vehicles and other things people wash off there driveways and yards. The parking tickets are just another way to pay for these and other services the city provides, Maybe the tickets are to pricey and we need to look into what would be an adequate price.

  • I would like to see us move in a different direction for nominating and electing our City Council officials. I believe we need all areas of our city to be represented in council, not just from one area. Down town area is different than the Harbor area, and so on and so forth. I would like to change this so that we can have 4 areas of the city represented with 3 at large bids.

  • We also need to come to an agreement on items such as Wal-Mart, the Crossings (old Huntington Beach mall). What makes since to the entire city as a whole.

  • Huntington Beach was one of the safest cities in the state, it sure was nice seeing the quick response and arrest the other night of the Bank robbers in our city. Congratulations to our fine patrolmen. I would like to make sure we stay one of the safest cities in the state.

  • We also need to save are parks and open space for our children and there children, not just put a building or a house on it because its vacant. I believe the wetlands should be purchased and saved once and for all. Then we can preserve and restore the ecological reserve for future generations.

  • These are just a few of the items I would like to change if I were elected to office. We can make a difference we just need to ask. "What can I do to make a difference?" That's what I asked myself and why I am running for Council.
