Political Philosophy for William "Bill" Hajdu

School board directors are hired (elected) by the citizens to oversee operations of the school district. Directors are responsible to their employers for: 1. Providing financial oversight. 2. Serving as the voice of the community in giving guidance to the District on policy and curriculum issues. 3. Overseeing the performance of administrators and teachers, especially as it relates to the quality of education our children receive. Ideally, the Board works in harmony with adminisrators to insure students receive the best possible education. The Board is not, however, a rubber stamp. Directors must be prepared to exercise their authority to insure administrators carry out their duties at a high level of performance and in accord with the basic values of the community. |
