Top Priorities if Elected |
- Reduce the threat of a catastrophic fire in our watershed spreading to our neighboring communities
- Reduce our reliance upon expensive imported water
- Expand our conservation programs

- Fire Safety, Vegetation Management Plan and Fuels Reduction
-
We live with the very real possibility of a major fire occurring on watershed property at some point that will impact us in so many ways: The experts all agree it is not a matter of if, but when. The oak tree die-off makes this year perhaps the most dangerous in the history of this county. Our need to effectively manage this threat becomes greater with every season as fuel loads increase. With each passing year the threat of a catastrophic wildfire increases.
- The Russian River Pipeline Question: To Build Now or Wait?
-
I find there is ample evidence to demonstrate we can continue to rely on the current North Marin pipeline for many years to come without jeopardizing our water supply. The evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates there is no need to build our own pipeline at this time. In fact, there is a significant savings to the community for every year we delay construction. It serves in our best fiscal interests to wait.
- Education and Leadership
-
I have a strong commitment to education and will work with our school administrators to create increased interaction with our schools. My goal is to work with the community to build support for the concepts listed here. With the community behind this, we can move forward with a number of interesting and exciting educational opportunities.
