George M. Lane, 3rd generation, was born and raised in the Antelope Valley, and still resides in Quartz Hill with his wife and son. Both sets of Grandparents moved here in the early 1900s and where George W. Lane, paternal grandfather, established Lane Ranch in 1908, which still operates in Quartz Hill.

George attended local schools and graduated from California State University at San Luis Obispo with a Major Degree in Business Administration.

George is the owner of Lane Ranch & Co, which specialilzes in training specialty horses and other livestock for motion pictures, television, and commercials.

His community involvement includes being an elected member of the Board of Directors, Past President, and has served on most committees in the Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency (AVEK), which serves water throughout the Antelope Valley.

He is also a current member of the A. V. State Water Contractors Board, and past member of the Los Angeles County Assessment Appeals Board. He is Past Pesident of the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce, Past Treasurer of the Lancaster Chamber. He has been a Fair Board Director, served in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Reserve for many years, and active in the past, and presently, in many more civic organizations.
