Candidate for
Member, Board of Directors; West Basin Municipal Water District; Division 5

I am running for the West Basin Municipal Water Board because I care about our communities and because water policy is crucial to the future of our area. I want to ensure that our communities continue to receive a safe and quality water supply and that our taxpayers are not abused by a water board that receives little monitoring from citizens or the press.

I will make my decisions in the public interest and not in regards to special interests. I will try using my experience to build coalitions on the board to enable us to enact campaign financing reforms, show greater fiscal responsibility and ensure water availability and water quality for all of our communities.

Lastly, I will continue to support the state law that prohibits the use of "recycled" water. Currently, all our water comes from fresh water sources and I will make all necessary efforts to continue this standard.
