Candidate for Board Member; Taft City School District

For the past eight years I have served the community as a board member with the taft City School District. First elected in 1992 I quickly became familiar with the complex operations of our school district. I was selected by my fellow board members to serve as Board President in 1995 and I am currently serving my second term as Board President for the year 2000. The Taft City School District is committed to providing every student with a quality, comprehensive educational experience and it has been an honor for me to have been a part of such a dedicated team for the past eight years. I am a conservative voice on the board and a promoter of parental involvement and personal responsibility.The best schools in the state are in Taft, California. We have the best teachers and support staff along with a generous, supportive community. I appreciate your confidence in my leadership over the past eight years, and it would be an honor for me to serve a third term as your trustee with the Taft City School District.
