Candidate for Director; Golden Hills Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
Your vote for me is a vote for Honesty and Integrety. I know how important the Quality and Quantity of water is to your family and will not comprimise that.
As a resident and property owner in Golden Hills since 1987, I have had the opportunity to see my children grow up in a healthy, clean and safe environment. We were a 4-H family and shared the wonderful experience of being Project Leaders. We also were involved in many school activities with our daughter as she went through GH Grammer Schooland Tehachapi High School. Four years ago I was asked to run for the office of Board of Director for the Golden Hills Community Services District. I accepted and was successful in being elected. I did this as payment back to my community for the wonderful life we have had here. During my term in office, I have seen many wonderful improvements in the way our district is operated. I am proud to be associated with the team that has worked so hard to keep our water system not only working, but much improved. Our water system is getting on in years and was never built from a "Master Plan". It has been one add-on after another, so getting water to the customer becomes more of a challange each year. Our team has met and exceeded all the needs ofOur community and has planned ahead for assuring safe, clean water in the years to come. This cannot be done without the support of the residents. You have heard the cry of the dissidents and doomsayers in our district. These few are clueless as to how hard water rights are to acquire; how expensive the production of water is; and how important it is to you that water gets to your home wherever you live in Golden Hills. Oh, it is easy to say "Cut the water rates", but doing so means your family will suffer in the long run with poor water supply or broken pipes. When you vote this November, remember what Mark Twain said: "Look out for the watch-dog barking the loudest. He is the one stealing your chickens".
