I am running for the council because I believe I can make a difference and am committed to doing so. Eureka is at a critical juncture. Now is the time to focus on the future and not dwell on the conflicts of the past. As a business-woman, wife, mother of five and active citizen, I believe we must come together as citizens who care deeply about their community. Differences are essential to good decision making and a free exchange of ideas. Divisiveness, however, has and will continue to derail any meaningful progress. Our leaders must listen to each other and the community. Unity built on consensus is what will move this city forward. Eureka has a long history of rich and valuable public participation and it is time to restore that.

I believe in Eureka. It is neccessary that the city of Eureka allow business to thrive while maintaining our unique character and small town charm. Change for the better is more than possible and I plan on being part of the process. The city council needs to bring solutions rather than problems to the citizens of Eureka.
