A personal request for support and a look toward the future.Dear Friend of Education, Our kids are the future and sometimes we have to make tough decisions on their behalf. In the past 4 years, the New Haven Board of Education has voted to increase graduation requirements, to improve academic standards and accountability, and taken bold steps to ensure that all students will graduate with a diploma that means something. We should expect the best and highest performance possible from every student. You can expect no less than that from me. After 24 years as your most experienced board member, I remain fully committed to serving this district and focused on our future goals. With your help we can get the job done. I look forward to serving you and thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Linda Fernandes Board President |
